Secret to Weight Loss

Here is something that you do not think about everyday when it
comes to losing weight. Visualization is a key ingredient in
your weight loss arsenal.

People who successfully lose weight cultivate this habit
without even realizing that they are doing so. This is one of
those secrets that is hidden in plain view. All you have to do
is consistently visualize yourself in your mind as to how you
want to look and feel.

This at first glance may appear to be silly. It is, however, a
fact that the mind will respond just as much to an imaginary
stimulus as it will to a real one. As you implant this new self
image into your subconscious, you will be directed to act
appropriately to achieve your goal of a target weight and to be
healthier. There is no great difficulty in applying this
technique. You simply train your mind to envision the image of
how you wish to look and feel. In the process you will become
more positive, more accepting of you diet changes and your
exercise regimen. This is the single and most influential
technique to help you obtain your weight goals easily and
quickly.

The idea of creating change through visualization has become
more acceptable. Doctors and psychologists do not really know
why this works. It is clear though that there is a definite
connection between the mind and the body. If you have a
realistic goal and it is something that you truly want, it will
much more likely happen when you program these changes at a
subconscious level. The technique of visualization will
definitely help us to lose weight by creating a clear picture of
what we want to achieve. By not using this tool we will hit
psychological walls of our own making.

This may surprise you, but many overweight people simply
believe that they are not able to lose weight. This is something
that you might tell yourself. You may hear this from others that
you know. For many people this is just a subconscious belief.
Regardless, it is a factor that influences our being. For a
person that believes they cannot lose weight will always be
fighting their own negative nature. Even when dieting and

to overcome your negative programming.

influences, sit down twice a day for about 15 minutes. Visualize
yourself at your ideal weight. You may find during the day that
you have to correct negative images even while engaged in your
daily activities. If you are persistent, in the end you will win
out. With the passage of time and continual practice you can
successfully reprogram your negative images. As a result, you
will lose weight and experience improved health.

It is crucial to do this every single day. Once in the morning
and again in the evening. Take about 15 minutes in a quiet spot.
Visualize yourself at your ideal or target weight. Some people
will find that this is very easy to do. Others may experience
some difficulty. Practice will eventually make it easier.

To reinforce these daily visualization exercises, when you go
about your daily work, think of yourself at your target weight.
Get to enjoy the feeling of having a positive self image. As
time goes on this will be a wonderful aid in your weight loss
program.

By incorporating this technique your weight loss program will
be both successful and permanent. Try this method for yourself
and discover just how well it contributes to your weight loss
program.
